As a self-made woman and being on top of her own game, Novi has become the epitome of inner and outer health in her own terms.
Within under a decade, Novi has maneuvered her life to a path of wellness with a goal she has set for herself, navigating her life to reach a goal she chose as her purpose in life, and to help others with her ‘Good Karma’. The city life can be dreary sometimes yet Novi has found her ‘Nirvana’ in the midst of it all. What made her turn to a new direction? Why Good Karma?
RR: Hi Novi, tell us about yourself!
NS: Hi, honestly when someone asks me to tell them about myself, I get confused on where to start. Haha. Hi there, Rockin Rollies, it’s me again! Novi, I am a Sundanese and now I currently live in Jakarta to pursue my purpose and dreams. I’m here to teach Yoga and work as a professional Business Development in one of a startup company based in Singapore. I love sports. I spend most of my time exercising, although now I have started creating things, like the Good Karma and I enjoy it so much!
RR: What drew you to yoga initially?
NS: The turning point was when I had an unfortunate accident and at the same time, I was sad and having a hard time with romance, career, and my physique. Started yoga in 2017, but it was on and off and I didn’t know what yoga was at that time. l started to learn how to meditate, to keep my mind stable and I realised that yoga isn’t just a movement. Since I recovered from the accident I don’t wanna take my physique for granted. By then my mindset had shifted to “the human body was designed to be moved” and I respect my body big time and am obsessed with exercising and just taking care of my body.
RR: How did you develop the concept of 'Good Karma’ and what aspirations do you have for it?
NS: The idea of Good Karma came to me while I was at Yoga School. I learned about Karma and wanted to create a community with that name. Good Karma is my way of giving back to the environment by doing what I love and sharing it with others.
RR: What’s your go-to lipstick shade? Reds, browns, pinks, or corals?
NS: My go-to lipstick shade is pink, but sometimes I opt for a red when I want to make a stronger impression.
RR: What is your sun, moon, and rising sign?
NS: Sagittarius, Scorpio, Capricorn
RR: What do your dream “day-off” activities look like?
NS: Nature// Trekking// Music// Matcha// Meditation// Breathwork// Rest// Good Food// Cuddles// Candles// Flowers// Glass Of Wine// Sleep Early.
RR: Who inspired you to be the person you are today?
NS: Honestly, it’s my past self. <3
